What do
you mean by healthy? Health is the absence of any disease, healthy is a state that
allow an individual to cope up with the demands of daily life. According to WHO
"health is a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and
not merely the absence of disease or infirmity"
For
staying away from diseases the most important thing is the understanding of risk factor. How to take charge of
your health requires understanding your risk factor for different diseases.
Some risk factor are beyond your control. You may be born with them or exposed
to them through no fault of your own. Some risk factor that you have little or
no control over :
§ Family history of a disease
§ Sex/gender -male or female
§ Ancestry
§ Age
it is
important to talk to your doctor or nurse about your individual health risk. Apart
from this there is always a demand of a proper healthy daily life schedule. there
are some of the effective steps you can follow to improve your health or
staying away from diseases:
1. Quit
Smoking-
Do not smoke. smoking causes cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung disease,
diabetes, and chronic abstractive pulmonary disease(COPD), and problems of the
immune system. If you want to be healthy quit smoking now.
2. Get
more exercise-
Evergreen way of staying fit and healthy. At least 2 hours and 30 minutes of
aerobic exercise every day. Even on your rest days go for it only for 30
minutes.
3. Reduce
Alcohol consumption- Drinking too much alcohol can take a serious tool
on your health. it can affect your heart, brain, liver, pancreas, immune
system.
4. Nutrients- Most important step, healthy eating. Take a proper
and well balanced diet. Give your body what it needs. Feed your body the right
way. Understand which type of nutrient your body needs the most, and provide
it.
Follow
this but do not forget to understand your body first. Give your body what it
needs- the type of nutrients, type of exercise. Do not start without understanding the requirements of
your body and keep on copying others, doing what everyone is doing i.e.
following any famous diet plan like keto diet or any other because may be your
body don't need that.
